Welcome to
ENCHANTED FOREST

“At the outset of this discussion…”
In
our classroom, you will often find us engaged in hands-on, messy activities, exploring in our sensory table, reading our favorite stories in the library or cozy tipi, and expressing our creativity in the art area. We focus on creating an environment where children feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn each day.
Our class loves going on walks and big adventures within our community. Along the way, we discover all kinds of treasures—special rocks, interesting plants, and fascinating bugs!
Below, you will find photos of our classroom and highlights of our daily and weekly activities. Be sure to check back often for updates and new adventures!

What we Have been Up to:

Last Update July 31, 2026

This month, we have been enjoying our summer schedule and making the most of the warmer weather. The children have been excited to participate in water play activities, which have provided lots of opportunities for fun, exploration, and staying cool during the summer days.
We have also been saying goodbye to some of our friends as they move on to new adventures, while welcoming new friends into our room. We have been supporting the children as they build new friendships, adjust to changes, and help create a warm and welcoming environment for everyone.
We are continuing with our classroom tidy-up board, encouraging children to take responsibility for their space and work together as a team. Children who help with cleanup continue to earn points, and at the end of the month, those with the most points will be celebrated with a special treat.
We look forward to more summer fun, learning, and creating wonderful memories together throughout the season.

We’re excited to share a few snapshots from your child’s day with you!
Each photo captures special moments of learning, play, and joy as the children explore, grow, and have fun together.

“Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together they make this world a beautiful garden.”
“The greatest gift we can give children is a caring adult who believes in them.”
“Growing hearts, curious minds, and confident children.”

June {2026}
This month, we had a wonderful time creating Mother's Day crafts. The children were excited and fully engaged in making something special for their moms. We also welcomed the arrival of spring and have been enjoying the warmer weather. As the temperatures continue to rise, please ensure your child comes to daycare with a summer hat. If you would like your child to wear sunscreen, please send a labeled bottle from home. We also celebrated several of our friends' birthdays this month, making for lots of fun and special moments. Our main focus has been on learning how to share and take turns with one another. To encourage responsibility and teamwork, we introduced a classroom cleanup board. Children who help tidy up earn points, and at the end of each month, those with the most points will be recognized with a special treat. Thank you for your continued support!

MAY 2026

April 2026

This month, we did a lot of exploration and had a great time predicting the weather as it changed so drastically. We welcomed the spring season with a full week of engaging and fun activities. The children participated in special themed days such as Crazy Hair Day, wearing spring-themed outfits, and Show and Share, along with many other exciting experiences. These activities encouraged creativity, self-expression, and confidence among the children. As the weather improves, we have also started going on small adventures to explore our surroundings. This provides valuable opportunities for the children to connect with nature, build curiosity, and develop their observation and social skills. The children were excited, especially when we had a special visit from Spiderman in our room, Thanks to Mrs. Sigurdson, who invited him for her child’s birthday. All of the children had an amusing time learning new tricks and talking about their favorite superheroes. We also worked on various Easter crafts and enjoyed many Easter egg hunts together. we also celebrated few other birthday and had special treats with all the children.
We’re excited to share a few snapshots from your child’s day with you! Each photo captures special moments of learning, play, and joy as the children explore, grow, and have fun together.

March 2026

This month was incredibly busy and exciting as we explored a variety of science experiments. The children were fully engaged, showed great curiosity, and asked many thoughtful questions throughout the activities. We also enjoyed a special movie day where we watched The Wild Robot, which was a fun and memorable experience for everyone. Our monthly theme was St. Patrick’s Day, and we participated in many themed activities. The children wore green on St. Patrick’s Day and enjoyed festive face painting that matched the theme. We have also created a spaceship area in our classroom. The children had an amusing time imagining that they were traveling to different planets. Our Tepee was transformed into a spaceship, and the children loved exploring space through imaginative play, taking turns being astronauts, and going on pretend adventures. In addition, we learned several new yoga poses and spent time reading a variety of books together. Overall, it was a joyful and enriching month filled with learning, creativity, and fun.

Our Love to Read Month {February} was a great success! We read many wonderful books together and successfully completed the “I Love to Read” Month Challenge. The children were very excited and proud of all the reading we accomplished.
